Forever Young, who finished third in the G1 Kentucky Derby, is set to compete in the final race of the three-year-old dirt Triple Crown, the Jpn1 Japan Dirt Classic, before targeting the G1 Breeders' Classic.
Trainer Yoshito Yahagi commented, "I recently visited Northern Farm (Hokkaido) to check on the horse, and it seems he is understandably fatigued. He has two more months before returning to the stable, so this will be a good time for him to refresh."
Regarding the anticipated first showdown with Jpn1 Tokyo Derby winner Ramjet, Yahagi remarked, "We'll need to have him at around 90% to win. We aim to prepare him thoroughly. I want to bring excitement to NAR Oi Racecourse, and with these two horses participating, it should generate a lot of interest even on a weekday."
