Emperor Wakea is en route to the G1 February Stakes after claiming victory in the G3 Negishi Stakes at Tokyo Racecourse on Sunday. This is his first graded stakes title after winning an Open Class race. The four-year-old won comfortably by two-and-a-half lengths ahead of Arms Reign. Winning jockey Yuga Kawada commented: "This was the perfect race. I am excited for his future."
