She won the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies in 2023 and was crowned two-year-old queen. She had never been beaten badly except in her previous two races, the Golden Eagle, and her last race, the G2 1351 Turf Sprint, was her first win in a graded overseas race.
She always shows a spectacular closing speed in the last stretch and is one of the favourites to win this race.
Winner of last year's Oka Sho, but suffered an unexpected defeat in the G1 Osaka Hai. She has always finished in the top places in GI races and is a capable horse in this group.
Closing speed in the final stretch is always consistent, expectations are high for a turnaround.
Armed with a consistent front-running style, she has already captured three graded stakes titles. Her front-running prowess was on full display in the G2 Kinko Sho, her most recent outing, where she secured her third graded stakes victory to date.
She’s more of a long-striding type than one with a sharp turn of foot, and has shown a good result for slightly worn or heavy turf. Although her results have varied, this is a great opportunity for her to win a GI.
The G1 Victoria Mile is a horse race conducted by the Japan Racing Association at Tokyo Racecourse, categorized as an international Group 1 event. It is open to fillies and mares aged four and older. Established in 2006, this relatively new G1 race serves as the spring mile championship for mares.
From its inception, the race has been open to foreign horses and domestic horses from local tracks meeting specific criteria. Since 2017, horses finishing in the top three of the Victoria Mile have been granted priority entry to the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois in France, and from 2021, similar priority has been given for the G1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp. Notable repeat performers in the Victoria Mile include Verxina, Straight Girl, and also well- known horses like Vodka, Buena Vista, Whale Capture, and Sodashi.
Tokyo 1600m turf course : The race features a home straight of 525.9 meters. The start is located towards the right of the opposite straight, with approximately 542 meters to the first corner on the A course. There is a rise of 1.5 meters before the third corner and a 2.1-meter incline in the middle of the final straight. The third and fourth corners form a gentle curve. This course tests not only speed but also stamina and endurance.
