W Heart Bond

W Heart Bond has emerged as a dominant presence in the dirt division. She built her reputation with a string of victories, combining tactical speed with strong determination over middle distances. Her rise continued with a commanding win in the Miyako Stakes, where she defeated seasoned older rivals and underlined her ability at a high level.

In her latest start, she reached a new peak by winning the Champions Cup to claim her first G1 title, firmly establishing herself among the elite dirt mares in Japan.

Costa Nova

Costa Nova has developed into one of the leading dirt milers on the Japanese circuit. After switching to dirt early in his career, he steadily rose through the ranks and reached a new peak in 2025, first winning the G3 Negishi Stakes before capturing the G1 February Stakes to secure his first G1 title.

Later that year, he returned to Tokyo for the Musashino Stakes and finished second against a strong field, once again showing his consistency at a high level.

Wilson Tesoro

Wilson Tesoro has established himself as one of the premier dirt performers in Japan. He reached the top level in 2024 by winning the JBC Classic, securing a major title against elite opposition.

February Stakes race overview

February Stakes is a horse racing competition held at Tokyo Racecourse by the Japan Racing Association (JRA). It is classified as an international G1 race.

Racecourse Feature

Tokyo 1600m dirt course : The turf portion of the second corner pocket serves as the starting point. Although the distance to the third turn is around 640 meters, the pace tends to be faster due to a gradual uphill stretch of about 400 meters from the start. The straightaway measures 501.6 meters, making it the longest among Japan's dirt tracks.
