Dream Core has emerged as one of the most promising fillies of her generation in Japan. Out of Normcore, a top-class mare who won both the Victoria Mile and the Hong Kong Cup, she made a bright start to her career and quickly established herself as a filly of considerable potential.
She took a major step forward in 2026 when she captured the Queen Cup, underlining both her class and the strength of her pedigree as she moved further into the spotlight among the three-year-old fillies.
Star Anise has emerged as one of the leading fillies of her generation in Japan. Out of Epice Arome, a graded-winning sprinter who captured the Kokura Nisai Stakes and the Centaur Stakes, she showed clear promise from her early starts and took a major step forward in 2025.
After finishing runner-up in the Chukyo Nisai Stakes, she reached a new high in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies, where she secured both her first graded title and first GⅠ victory. That performance established her as one of the leading contenders among the three-year-old fillies in the current season.
Alankar has emerged as one of the more promising fillies of her generation in Japan. Out of Sinhalite, the Japanese Oaks winner who also captured the Tulip Sho and the Rose Stakes, she made an encouraging start to her career and quickly showed her potential.
After winning on debut, she followed up in the Nojigiku Stakes and later held her own at the highest level in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. She has remained firmly in the spotlight this season as a leading contender among the three-year-old fillies after adding a placed finish in the Tulip Sho.
The G1 Oka Sho, conducted by the Japan Racing Association (JRA), is a prestigious Grade 1 horse race exclusively for 3-year-old fillies. Modeled after the English 1000 Guineas, it was established in 1939 to identify the most talented and speedy young fillies. Since 1950, the race has been held at Hanshin Racecourse. In the current racing system, along with the Japanese Oaks and the Shuka Sho, it forms part of the "Filly Triple Tiara."
Hanshin 1600m turf course : The race utilizes the outer track. Starting from a slightly leftward position on the middle of the straightaway, the distance to the third corner is 444 meters. The corners are very gentle, featuring a gradual downhill slope. The final home stretch measures 473.6 meters (when using the A course), with a sharp incline of 1.8 meters in elevation between the 200- meter and 80-meter marks. Compared to the inner track, the pace tends to be more subdued, often leading to a contest of quick acceleration and burst of speed.
