Tokyo Racecourse commemorates imperial visit to G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn)

Ceremony was held at Tokyo Racecourse (C)JRA

On the 17th, the Japan Racing Association commemorated the Imperial visit by Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress of Japan at last year's G1 Tenno Sho (Autumn) by unveiling a memorial monument at Tokyo Racecourse.

JRA Chairman Masayoshi Yoshida commented, "In honour of the gracious visit by Their Majesties, we have erected this monument to perpetuate the memory for future generations." The calligraphy on the monument was done by calligrapher Katsuhiro Miike, and a plaque for the winning horse, Equinox, was also installed alongside it.
