A legend has set another seemingly unbreakable record. On the 12th, jockey Yutaka Take achieved an unprecedented 4,500th win by claiming Race 2 at Tokyo Racecourse aboard Wet Season. "When I first started, I never imagined I could win this many races. It's deeply moving. This is the result of giving my all for every single win. I am just happy to have been able to continue as a jockey for this long, and I am grateful to all the horses and people along the way," he said, bowing his head in gratitude.

The murmur in the stands turned to cheers and then a loud ovation. Though a rival briefly took the lead in the stretch, Take showcased all of his skills with a brilliant comeback. "I hoped I could do it today. I am glad I made it happen. The numbers accumulated over 37 years carry a lot of weight," he said with a relieved expression.

When asked about his next goal, he replied, as he did when he reached 4,000 wins, "The next win." However, when his record six Derby wins were mentioned, he humorously responded, "It is still not enough (laughs). There are always more races I want to win. There is no limit to the numbers, and the more, the better." With each win, Yutaka Take sets new, unprecedented records. How far will he go? Yutaka continues to lead at the forefront.
