This weekend's racing will feature two graded stakes on Sunday. Our original AI has listed three contenders to follow in the G3 Radio Nikkei Sho at Fukushima Racecourse.

Meisho Yozora's last race was in a 1Win Class at Tokyo Racecourse. She broke well and quickly took the lead, setting a steady pace throughout. She entered the straight with a seemingly good hand but couldn't find an extra gear, finishing fourth. The race concluded with a fast final stretch, which seemed to challenge her, but overall, her performance was solid and didn't warrant a downgrade.

Switching from Tokyo to the tighter-turning Fukushima Racecourse is expected to be beneficial. Meisho Yozora has strong early speed, and the track conditions on the opening week should play to her advantage. Additionally, she won her maiden race over 1800m, the same distance as the G3 Radio Nikkei Sho, which is another positive factor. Given these improved conditions, if her previous performance causes her odds to lengthen, she could be a value bet in this race.

In his last race, the G2 Aoba Sho, Win Maximum settled in second place, tracking the horse that set a blistering pace. He maintained a good rhythm and responded well when asked in the home stretch, briefly taking the lead with 200 meters to go. However, he couldn't fend off the late challengers and finished fifth. Despite not finishing in the money, it's worth noting that the top four finishers came from behind, and Win Maximum was the only front runner to stay in contention, showcasing his strength.

This time, the race distance shortens to 1800 meters, which should be a positive change given that maintaining a relaxed pace has been a challenge for him. His strong early speed will be advantageous in the opening week at Fukushima. Although he hasn't won a graded race yet, he has demonstrated his capability at this level. The change in distance and course conditions might be just what he needs to secure his first graded stakes title.

In his last race, the G1 Satsuki Sho, Allegro Brillante raced against strong competition, positioning himself boldly in fourth place early on. However, the fast pace took its toll, and by the third corner, his stamina started to wane, dropping out of contention before the final stretch and finishing 15th. This poor performance can be attributed to the high level of competition and the unfavourable race dynamics.

In his prior start, the G2 Spring Stakes, Allegro Brillante led the field and finished a commendable second. Although he couldn't match the winner's finishing speed, securing a place in a graded stakes race demonstrates his significant ability. Furthermore, the fourth-place finisher in that race, Channel Tunnel, subsequently placed third in the G3 Arlington Cup and ran a respectable sixth in the G1 NHK Mile Cup, underscoring the quality of competition Allegro Brillante faced.

Now, stepping down in class from his last race, Allegro Brillante should find this company less challenging. His strong early speed will be a key asset, and if he can dictate the pace effectively, he stands a good chance of being in the mix for the top positions.
