According to a statement released by the JRA, two Group 1 candidates from Japan have arrived in Australia with some exciting targets. The 7YO colt Unicorn Lion is a potential runner in the GI Queen Elizabeth Stakes whilst the GI All Aged Stakes is the likely target for 5YO colt Ho O Amazon.
Both horses took off from Narita International Airport on March 20th; after landing at Sydney International Airport, they went straight to Canterbury Park Racecourse in Sydney for international quarantine.
Assistant trainer Araki commented, "They traveled smoothly. I thought Unicorn Lion might be more awkward; however, he stayed calm and ate his fodder nicely. Ho O Amazon is a horse who copes well with changing environments and he appears the same as ever. I want to express my thanks for those who've helped ensure they both travelled smoothly."
