Promising young talent Taiga Tsunoda guided Season Rich to a joint-first graded stakes success in the G3 Mainichi Hai at Hanshin Racecourse. The pair travelled in mid-field and drew away from the pack in the home straight, following a perfectly timed challenge from Tsunoda. Nocking Point challenged Season Rich from the outside but finished second, half-a-length behind the winner.

Dotto Kuru finished third, half-a-length behind Nocking Point, whilst pre-race favourite King's Reign finished a disappointing 12th.

Season Rich is a son of Duramente out of Ever Charmant, by Heart's Cry. Saturday's victory was a return to form for him, after finishing 6th in the G3 Kyodo News Hai.
