Practice race at the new Kyoto Racecourse

A schooling race took place at the newly renovated Kyoto Racecourse after two and half years of closure. Jockeys, including Ryuji Wada, Yuga Kawada, and Yusuke Fujioka, were all present to get a preview of the new stand, paddock, corner, or underpass for the race.

The old days' view is coming back to Kyoto again. The start of the turf track circumference has been extended and the acuteness of the final corner has been eased. Yusuke Fujioka put his left hand to the sky for the first victory at the brand-new Kyoto racecourse.

"The old days' view is coming back to Kyoto again" smiled Fujioka jockey, "This was the memorable first race. The racecourse is outstanding. The final corner is easier to ride compared to before; however, the course retains its uniqueness. I can't wait to race!"

Wada jockey commented, "I am looking forward to the thrill of horse on downhill through the third corner; even the final corner has been improved." Kawada commented, "The circle paddock was an iconic piece of Kyoto before; however, fans will enjoy the new Kyoto vibes."

Lastly, Kawada praised the new complex, "I always felt it is such a great racecourse, so jockeys will continue to enjoy riding here." The official opening day is coming soon. JRA racing and droves of passionate race fans are set to return to Kyoto.
