Namur, aiming for a repeat victory in the G1 Mile Championship, completed her final tune-up on the 13th with an impressive solo gallop on the slope course at Ritto Training Center. She clocked a sharp 12.0 seconds for the last furlong, highlighting her excellent condition. This will be her third race under the renowned Christian Demuro, who just captured the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup with Stunning Rose, forming a strong partnership with the Tomokazu Takano stable that is sure to attract attention this weekend.
Namur clocked 4F in 56.6, 41.2 for the last two furlongs, and 12.0 for the final furlong, following a similar pace to her prep before the Yasuda Kinen. Starting off at a relaxed pace, she delivered an impressive final furlong, displaying remarkable energy and powerful strides. Despite coming off a layoff, she's primed for a peak performance, with her signature turn of foot ready to shine.

Interviewer - What is Namur's biggest strength?
Demuro - "Her turn of foot in the stretch is fantastic."
Interviewer - What's the race strategy for the Mile Championship?
Demuro - "The Kyoto Racecourse has tricky turns and sharp corners, but if we can get into a good position, that shouldn't be a problem. Ideally, we'll be positioned in the mid-pack or just ahead."
Interviewer - How does it feel to be chasing back-to-back G1 wins?
Demuro - "It's great to have another G1 opportunity two weeks in a row with the same stable. I'll do my best to bring home the win again."
