Namur (5yo mare), who finished 17th in her bid for a repeat victory in the Mile Championship, has been retired, as announced on November 20 via the Carrot Club's official website.

Jockey Cristian Demuro dismounted after sensing something unusual following the Mile Championship finish recently. While a post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant issues, the decision was made on November 19 to forgo her planned trip to Hong Kong as a precaution. After further discussions, connections ultimately opted for retirement rather than continuing her racing career.

Trainer Tomokazu Takano commented, "Trying to rebuild and prepare her for racing again would come with risks. It's a difficult decision, but there is always the next chapter. Namur has consistently fought at the highest level, and I have nothing but the utmost respect for her."

Namur retires with a record of 18 starts, and 5 wins, including one G1 victory and three graded stakes wins.
