Mozu Meimei, with the legend Yutaka Take on board, won the G3 Aoi Stakes on Saturday. Mozu Meimei jumped out of the gate immaculately and led all the way to the finish line. Lugal made a late challenge up the rail inside the final two furlongs but finished second, a half length behind the winner.

Favourite of the race Big Caesar came in third a neck behind Lugal.

Mozu Meimei is a daughter of Real Impact out of In Luxury, by Frankel. After bouncing back from a 13th finish in the G1 Oka Sho, this is her second Graded stakes title.
