Amante Bianco goes clear on debut

In the 1400m dirt newcomers' race at the Tokyo Racecourse on the 17th, race favourite, two-year-old colt Amante Bianco made a winning debut. The snow-white colt is by Henny Hughes out Yukichan, showcased a powerful finish, coming from midfield to run out a comprehensive winner.
All JRA debut wins by horses officially registered as white, have all hailed from the famed family of Shirayukihime. Winning rider, Christophe Lemaire commented, "He has been travelling well all along. He can handle longer distances and extend up to 1600 meters. His acceleration after getting into gear was impressive. He still has room for improvement." Trainer Miyata added, "He was the best horse in the race. Next year, he could aim for the Dirt Triple Crown. We have high hopes for his future."
