Three-day weekend features triple graded stakes from Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukushima

This week's racing will be held across three racecourses, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fukushima, with a three-day program that includes three graded stakes races.
The highlight of the weekend is Sunday's G1 Mile Championship at Kyoto Racecourse. Expected runners include Jantar Mantar (Colt, 4yo), a three-time G1 winner including this year's Yasuda Kinen. Ascoli Piceno (Filly, 4yo), who secured her second G1 title in the Victoria Mile, and last year's winner Soul Rush (Horse, 7yo).
On Monday (a National Holiday), Tokyo Racecourse hosts the G2 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes. Entries include Danon History (Colt, 2yo), who led all the way to win the newcomers race over 1800m at Tokyo. Zoroastro (Colt, 2yo), third in the Saudi Arabia Royal Cup last out, and Salesio (Colt, 2yo), a son of Salacia, the 2020 Arima Kinen runner-up, who impressed in his newcomers win over 1800m at Hanshin.
On Saturday, Fukushima Racecourse stages the G3 Fukushima Kinen. Expected runners include England Eyes (Mare, 5yo), winner of the Kokura Kinen two starts back, Ecoro Walz (Colt, 4yo), aiming to rebound in the 2000m G3, and Kurino Mei (Filly, 3yo), winner of the Tulip Sho, who finished seventh last time out in the G1 Shuka Sho.
