Prognosis showed off his full potential in partnership with Yuga Kawada in the G2 Sapporo Kinen. This is his second graded stakes winner after winning the G2 Kinko Sho.

Prognosis started in mid-field and began to move forward around the third corner, ultimately running down Top Knife finished in second. So Valiant claimed the final podium position third.

Yuga Kawada reflected, "To be honest, I didn't get a great feeling on the way to post. I was thinking about how we are going to race in these conditions but he ran in rhythm and progressed steadily. I think the decisive factor was the ground conditions but I can most certainly say that we are proud of him."
