Updates and workout reports for Japanese contenders ahead of Breeders' Cup

Win Marilyn, G1 BC Filly & Mare Turf
Win Marilyn conducted a 16-17 furlong long canter on the turf course. Rider Ohmura commented, "This was the first workout on the turf course since we came to the Santa Anita. She ran better than expected in terms of lap times and movements. We are on track and she is adapting to the new environment well."
Win Carnelian, G1 BC Mile
Win Carnelian conducted a one-and-a-half lap canter on the dirt course with jockey Kosei Miura on board. Miura commented, "I heard that he is progressing nicely so I was very careful to not overwork him. We will do a fast workout and gate examination tomorrow."
Songline, G1 BC Mile
Songline conducted a lap of hacking and a lap of cantering. She finished her morning work with a gate examination. Trainer Toru Hayashi commented, "She was moving nicely and she seems to enjoy her new environment. This is a new challenge for us but hopefully we can deliver the good news to Japanese fans."
Shahryar, G1 BC Turf
Shahryar conducted his final fast workout ahead of his race with jockey Koji Nishizuka on the turf course. Trainer Hideaki Fujiwara commented, "Shahryar seems to like here more than European turf. Jockey and horse got to learn about cornering and the condition of American turf, so it was a successful day for us. He has no problems at this moment and we will continue to monitor him."
Ushba Tesoro, G1 BC Classic
Ushba Tesoro cantered a mile on the dirt course. Trainer Noboru Takagi commented, "He continues to work nicely and we will have a final workout tomorrow with a jockey Yuga Kawada."
Derma Sotogake, G1 BC Classic
Derma Sotogeke conducted a light workout on a dirt course for 800m with Christophe Lemaire on board. Lemaire commented "It was a smooth run and footwork was nice too. When we entered a track, he was a bit curious about his surroundings but he was calm. His condition is better than when he was in the US for the Kentucky Derby." Assistant trainer Tanaka added "We conducted a number of workouts in Japan already so we decided to do a light workout today. The jockey said it was great and now we just have to get ready for the race."
Meikei Yell, G1 BC Filly & Mare Sprint
Meikei Yell cantered on a dirt course for two laps. Rider commented "He was calm when he entered a course but he was very focused once he started to canter. He will run a half mile and do a gate examination tomorrow."
Jasper Krone, G1 BC Turf Sprint
Jasper Krone conducted a workout on the turf course. Trainer Hideyuki Mori commented, "We are on track and will do a final workout with jockey Yuga Kawada tomorrow."
