U.S. G1 horse Mastery joins stallion at Lex Stud for 24th season

On the morning of November 18, the American-bred horse Mastery arrived at Lex Stud in Shin-Hidaka, Hokkaido.

Mastery was trained by the Bob Baffert Stable in the U.S., he won four races as a two and three-year-old. The son of Candy Ride was forced to retire from injury, he was an undefeated winner, including the G1 Los Alamitos Cash Call Futurity. Mastery retired to the breeding shed after a winning return to the track in the G2 San Felipe Stakes, his only start as a three-year-old. He spent five seasons at Claiborne Farm in the U.S. before being entering the Japanese stallion for 2024.

In Japan, his son Success Laurel won the Shurei Stakes. at Tokyo Racecourse on October 29th. Breeding fees and other details will be announced at a later date.
