British Champion Jockey in both 2022 and 2023, William Buick received a short-term licence to ride in Japan for two weeks and he will be riding Stars On Earth in the G1 Japan Cup this Sunday.

On the race, he commented, "From what I have seen from the past races, I think he runs the best over 2400m." Buick has quite the experience with the Japan Cup, having taken four rides in the past. He added: "You cannot experience that Japan Cup atmosphere anywhere else. This is the race I desperately want to win."

When Equinox dominated the G1 Dubai Sheema Classic, he was on Rebel's Romance. He reflected, "I knew Equinox was the one to beat and will be in this race as well as Liberty Island. I only think about winning and I will do my best for that moment."
