Seraphic Call aims to make history in G1 Champions Cup

G3 Miyako Stakes winner Seraphic Call, trained by Ryo Terashima, will aim to become the fourth horse in JRA history to win a G1 for three-year-olds and older horses whilst maintaining an unbeaten record.

Seraphic Call is a son of Henny Hughes out of Chant de l'Ange, by Manhattan Cafe. He is from the famous female line of Glorious Song with three G1 winners in his close family. G1 2014 Victoria Mile winner Verxina, 2017 Japan Cup winner Cheval Grand, and 2016 Shuka Sho winner Vivlos are all cousins of his.

He has won five races from five starts with victory in the G3 Miyako Stakes last time out. He has been showing his potential with a quick turn of foot in the final few furlongs and it will be interesting to see if he can do the same on the mile course at Chukyo Racecourse.
