Notable runners in the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies

More G1 action continues in the JRA this Sunday at Hanshin Racecourse with Ascoli Piceno aiming to maintain her unbeaten record in the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies. Here are a few of the main contenders.
Unbeaten Ascoli Piceno leads the field after winning the G3 Niigata Nisai Stakes last time out. Although it has been almost four months since that run and she is believed to be ready for the task at hand and winner's circle with Hiroshi Kitamura.
Bond Girl enters the race with a some high class form on her page. She beat Cervinia who later won the G3 Artemis Stakes in her debut race in a Newcomers Maiden race. She has also placed second in the G3 Saudi Arabia Royal Cup behind Gonbade Qabus but finished ahead of Strauss who later won the G2 Tokyo Sports Nisai Stakes. She will be the one to watch in the fillies' restricted races with Tom Marquand taking the ride.
Corazon Beat was beaten against Bond Girl in her debut race but has won all three races since her debut including the G2 Keio Hai Nisai Stakes. Takeshi Yokoyama will guide her in an attempt to avenge that loss to Bond Girl.
Other notable runners include Safira who finished second in the G3 Artemis Stakes, Culture Day the winner of the G3 Fantasy Stakes, Stellenbosch who won last time out in the Akamatsu Sho, and Lucifer who won the Listed Stakes on her most recent start.
