Jockey Kazuo Yokoyama rode a final piece of fast work aboard Titleholder ahead of his final run in the G1 Arima Kinen. He clocked 82.0 seconds for the final six furlongs and 11.6 for the last furlong.

Trainer Toru Kurita commented, "It was good work from him but his turn of foot could be smoother and I wish his strides were better." Jockey Yokoyama added, "It was not bad but compared to when he was in the best condition I was not impressed with today's work."

This is his 19th start and will be his last. Trainer Kurita is ready to send him off in the best way possible, "He won us a first G1, travelled overseas, and I was moved by how the yard staff worked together to care for Titleholder. I hope he will enjoy the race."
