Connections announced on the JRA website on the 27th that G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes winner Grenadier Guards will retire from racing and join the ranks at Shadai Stallion Station as he takes up stud duties in the new year.

Grenadier Guards is a son of Frankel out of Wavell Avenue, by Harlington. His dam is the winner of the G1 BC Filly & Mare Sprint.

His career record stands at three wins from 16 starts with two graded stakes titles, whilst his last run was in the G2 Hanshin Cup in December.
