This race was graded as international G3 in 2001 and was quickly upgraded to G2 in 2002. This race was renamed to its current name in 2012 and was upgraded to G2 in 2014. Makani Bisty was the first Japanese runner in 2012 and Stay Foolish became the first Japanese runner to win this race in 2022.
International G1 over 1200m on straight turf course for horses over three years and older. It was introduced to the Dubai World Cup meeting in 2010. A Shin Virgo was the first Japanese runner in 2012.
International G2 over 1900m on dirt for three-year-olds for northern hemisphere bred horses and four- year-olds for southern hemisphere horses. This race is a part of the Road to the Kentucky Derby. Discreet Cat, Thunder Snow, and Mendelssohn are the graduates of this race. Lani became the first Japanese-trained horse to win this race in 2016 and Crown Pride became the first Japanese-bred horse to win this race in 2022.
International G1 over 1200m on dirt for all thoroughbreds over three years of age. Matera Sky became the first Japanese horse to be placed in 2019 after finishing second. Other Japanese sprinters made their way to Dubai for this race such as Broad Appeal, Red le Zele, and Copano Kicking.
International G1 over 1800m on turf for three-year-olds for southern hemisphere bred horses and four- year-olds for northern hemisphere horses. This race was inaugurated in 1996 as a Dubai Duty Free over dirt course but it was changed to turf course in 2000. Admire Moon became the first Japanese-trained horse to win this race in 2007. When Just a Way won this race in 2014, he set the new record of 1:45.52 which shortened the record by more than two seconds and was crowned as the highest rated horse in the world in that year. Other winners include Real Steel in 2016, Vivlos in 2017, Almond Eye in 2019, and two winners Panthalassa and Lord North in 2022.
International G1 over 2410m on turf for three-year-olds for southern hemisphere bred horses and four- year-olds for northern hemisphere horses. This race was introduced in 1998 as Dubai Turf Classic. Stay Gold became the first Japanese-trained horse to win this race in 2002. Three other Japanese runners won this race, Heart's Cry in 2006, Gentildonna in 2014, and Shahrya in 2022.
International G1 over 2000m on dirt for three-year-olds for southern hemisphere bred horses and four- year-olds for northern hemisphere horses. Since the introduction of this race in 1996, this race has been known for being one of the best races in the world and has attracted the best horses from multiple countries. Winners of this race include Cigar, Singspiel, Dubai Millenium, Invasor, Kahrin, California Chrome, and Arrogate. Between 2010 and 2014, this race was run-on All-Weather surface and Victoire Pisa became the first Japanese horse to win this race in 2011.
