T O Royal with Yuji Hishida on board won the G1 Tenno Sho (Spring) at Kyoto Racecourse on Sunday. Blow The Horn finished second, two lengths behind the winner, and Deep Bond came home in third a half-length behind Blow The Horn. Pre-race favourite Durezza finished a disappointing 15th. The winning time was 3:14.2.

T O Royal is a son of Leontes out of Meisho Ohi, by Manhattan Cafe. This is his third consecutive stayers' graded stakes win and it was also a first G1 title for horse, jockey and trainer Inao Okada.
