Puro Magic with Kohei Matsuyama on board won the G3 Kitakyushu Kinen at Kokura Racecourse on Sunday. Yoshino Easter finished second, a half-length behind the winner, and Mozu Meimei came home in third, one-and-three-quarter lengths behind Yoshino Easter. Sent-off favourite, Thermal Wind finished a disappointing 12th. The winning time was 1:07.9.

Puro Magic is a daughter of Asia Express out of Medjerda, by Deep Impact. This is her second consecutive graded stakes after she won the G3 Aoi Stakes in May.
