On July 6th at Kokura in Race 3, jockey Manami Nagashima (21) achieved her 100th win in the Japan Racing Association by guiding ninth favourite Yoshino Yattarude to victory. She became the 90th active jockey to reach this milestone and only the second female jockey in history to do so, following Nanako Fujita. Her record includes one graded stakes win.

Nagashima expressed her gratitude, saying, "I owe this achievement to the support of so many people since my racing debut." She added, "I wasn't particularly conscious of the milestone, but as people mentioned it, I wanted to reach it quickly. I'm happy to achieve it at the place of my first ride, and I aim to win even more races. I still feel there are many areas where I lack skill, so I want to continue improving."

Her mentor, trainer Yasuyuki Takahashi, expressed his hopes for her future success, saying, "She has the spirit of a true competitor. As long as she maintains her ambition, I will continue to support her and believe she can achieve even more."
