Mirco Demuro guided Emu to a first graded stakes victory in the G3 Flower Cup at Nakayama Racecourse. The pair positioned themselves at the rear of the field and made a race-winning move entering the home straight. Hip Hop Soul made a valiant bid for the line but had to settle for second place, half a length behind the progressive Emu. Pulchritude finished third a further one-and-a-quarter lengths behind.

Emu is a daughter of Harbinger out of Sourire, by Special Week. This is her second win in a row following a comprehensive win in the Daisy Sho on her last start.
