JRA legend Yutaka Take guided Jack d'Or to his first G1 victory in Osaka Hai at Hanshin Racecourse on Sunday. Take dictated the race as pacemaker and kept on well to hold off his challengers at the line. Stars on Earth challenged Jack d'Or late in the final furlong but had to settle for second, a nose behind the winner. Danon the Kid came home a neck behind Stars on Earth in third.
Jack d'Or is a son of Maurice out of Ravarino, by Unbridled's Song. This is his first G1 win and comes after finishing seventh in the Hong Kong Cup.
Yutaka Take made history with his victory on Sunday, claiming his 80th domestic G1 winner to become the oldest JRA jockey to win G1 at the age of 54 years and 19 days.
