Equinox in the Ritto Training Centre

Fresh from a spectacular performance in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen, securing his fourth consecutive G1 win, Equinox was recuperating in temporary stabling at the Ritto Training Center. The 2022 Horse of The Year was sent to Ritto three weeks prior to the race, to limit any negative effect of travel close to the race day. Equinox returned to his temporary stable a little after 8pm on Sunday.

Assistant trainer Kusunoki, with a relieved expression, affectionately patted Equinox's chest, saying, "I was on edge, but I'm relieved he won. He's eating well, and there doesn't seem to be any visible signs of extreme fatigue or injury."

On the 27th, Equinox will return to his home stable located in Miho Training Center. His condition will be assessed before he is sent out for a summer spell. Kusunoki expressed his gratitude, saying, "We are grateful that the people at Ritto took such good care of us. It has been a confidence-boosting three weeks for both Equinox and staff."
