Last year's winner of the Argentina Republic Cup, five-year-old colt Breakup has had an exciting autumn target set for him. The 12th-placed finisher in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen will aim for the G1 Caulfield Cup and the G1 Melbourne Cup in Australia, as announced by his trainer Yoshioka on the 30th.

The trainer explained, "There was no damage after the Takarazuka Kinen. The race didn't go well due to a tough pace set by the frontrunners. I think this horse would prefer a longer distance." Breakup will now be sent for pasture at Yoshizawa Stable in Hokkaido.
