Shahryar, the Derby winner of 2021, is taking a rest after finished 5th in the Dubai World Cup. However, owner Sunday Thoroughbred Club announced that the horse will be entering either the Hakodate or Sapporo Racecourse facilities in the coming weeks in preparation for his comeback race, the turf 2000m G2 Sapporo Kinen on August 20th at Supporo Racecourse.

Shahryar is considering the Sapporo Kinen as a stepping stone towards his participation in the US G1 Breeders' Cup Turf at Santa Anita Racecourse on November 4th.
