Don Frankie and Kenichi Ikezoe won the G3 Procyon Stakes in a stylish fashion at Chukyo Racecourse on Sunday. Positioned upfront, they led their rivals all the way to the finish line, holding off the challenge made by the favourite of the race, Remake, by a neck. Omega Rainbow finished third, six lengths behind Remake.

Don Frankie is a son of Daiwa Major out of Weemissfrankie, by Sunriver. This is his first graded stakes title after winning last time out at Kyoto Racecourse. This is also the first winner on domestic dirt for his sire Daiwa Major.
