Yuga Kawada crowned as Champion Jockey for the first time in his 19-year career

The JRA season finished on December 28th, the JRA's Leading Jockey final standings was confirmed.
Yuga Kawada was crowned JRA champion jockey for the 2022 season with 143 wins. This is the first title in his 19-year career. His major race wins included the Oka Sho, NHK mile cup, and Hanshin Juvenile Fillies.
Keita Tosaki came in second with 136 wins and Takeshi Yokoyama finished in third place. Christophe Lemaire reigned as Champion Jockey for five consecutive years before 2022, he finished in fifth place with 109 wins. The final standings of the Top 20 jockeys are as follows.
