Roanoke Tesoro easily won the debut race

On July 30th, in the 6th race at Niigata Racecourse, two-year-old filly Roanoke Tesoro caused a minor upset with victory as the seventh favourite in a 12-horse maiden race over 1400 meters on turf.
Roanoke Tesoro positioned herself handily throughout the race and displayed a likable turn-of-foot in the stretch. She hit the line, a cozy, half-length winner in a time of 1 min 23.2 sec on a sound surface.
The Japanese-bred, Roanoke Tesoro is by Nathaniel out of the 11-year-old Light Fantastic, by Acclamation. Light Fantastic was purchased by Ryoken Farm at the Tattersalls December Breeding Stock Sale for 6,000 GNS.
