This weekend's racing will consist of two graded stakes races, headed by the G1 Shuka Sho, the final leg of the fillies' Triple Tiara. Our original AI will introduce three contenders that could finish in front of Liberty Island, the odds-on favourite.

Harper

Harper has been consistently good in Classics, finishing fourth in Oka Sho and second in Oaks. She is well prepared for the distance and running for the first time at Kyoto Racecourse. Progeny of Heart's Cry, sire of Harper, have been performing well in Shuka Sho as well which supports Harper's performance in the Shuka Sho.

Dura

Dura has won three races in her career but all those wins have come on courses with tight corners and a narrow homestretch. She finished third at Tokyo Racecourse and could perform well at Kyoto Racecourse with a wide homestretch. She needs a fast-paced race which requires stamina but not the kind of fast-paced final three furlongs where she needs to quicken up more to counter horses coming from behind.

Ravel

Ravel is the only runner here who has the experience of finishing ahead of Liberty Island. When she won the G3 Artemis Stakes, Liberty Island finished second behind Ravel. She has not been performing well at the G1 level but her potential is bigger than her form suggests. When she is in good condition, we know she can finish ahead of Liberty Island as she did once.
