Breakup finished a commendable eighth in the G1 Caulfield Cup at Caulfield Racecourse in Australia. Jockey Damian Lane commented "In the home stretch, the outside horses finished better but he did well considering it was his first time running in Australia. He felt fit and well."

Trainer Tatsuya Yoshioka added "This was his first run after a long break so this was expected. We now just have to get him to his top condition for his next race which will be the G1 Melbourne Cup.
