Igniter from the NAR Hyogo district, was polited to victory by Tsubasa Sasagawa in the JpnI Japan Breeding farms' Cup Sprint despite the late challenge from JRA runners. Sent off favourite, Remake (from the JRA) finished second, one-and-a-half lengths behind the winner and another JRA runner, Ryuno Yukina, came home in third 3/4 length behind Remake. The winning time was 1:12.0.

In some early drama, last year's winner Dancing Prince was disqualified from the race as jockey Mirai Iwata was unseated right after the start.

Igniter is a son of Espoir City out of Bianco, by Warning. This is the first JpnI title for the entire NAR Hyogo district and the fourth NAR runner to win the JBC Sprint.
