Connections has announced that the 2023 Saudi Cup winner Panthalassa will likely run in the G1 Japan Cup this weekend, as he is ready to race quicker than the initial plan, which would have seen him first-up in the G1 Champions Cup on the 3rd of December. Trainer Yoshito Yahagi commented, "I am planning to run him in the G1. He did a fast work this morning (on the 19th) and he worked well. I think he is ready."
