The ownership group of Vela Azul have announced that Ryan Moore will not be riding in the G1 Japan Cup, and fellow British jockey Hollie Doyle will take the reins instead. For the G3 Kyoto Nisai Stakes, Taisei Danno will be riding Gamble Room instead of Ryan Moore, ownership group Sunday Thoroughbred Club announced on the 22nd.

Moore was admitted to hospital in Kyoto after an accident at the start of a race at Kyoto Racecourse, and he was subsequently cleared to ride in races. However, Moore is being cautious, and will be returning to the track next week.
