Christophe Lemaire and 2-year-old filly Regaleira won the final G1 of the year, the Hopeful Stakes at Nakayama Racecourse on Thursday. Shin Emperor finished second, 3/4 lengths behind the winner, and Sunrise Zipangu came home in third, two lengths behind Shin Emperor. The winning time was 2:00.2.

Regaleira is a daughter of Suave Richard out of Roca, by Harbinger. This is the first female winner since the Hopeful Stakes was upgraded to G1 status.
