Juvenile G1 winner Satono Ares moves to Turkey for stud duties

Satono Ares, 2016 JRA Champion Two-Year-Old Colt, has moved to Turkey from Breeders Stallion Station to continue his stud career.

The Hokkaido-based stallion station announced that he has been purchased by the Turkish Jockey Club earlier this month. The son of Deep Impact entered stud in 2020, he has 18 registered 2-year olds in his first crop in Japan.

He is out of Danehill mare, Satono Amazones who is from the same family as dual G1 winner, Royal Academy and North American leading sire, Storm Cat.

Satono Ares won three races including the G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes in 2016 and consequently became the JRA Champion Two-Year-Old Colt.
