G1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes winner Jantar Mantar seems ready for another graded stakes title. He conducted fast work on the woodchip slope course at Ritto Training Center and clocked 55.6 seconds for the final four furlongs and 11.9 seconds for the final furlong.

Trainer Tomokazu Takano commented: "The jockey rode him last week and that fired him up. He is focused and ready for the race. I wanted this work to be a little lighter so I made him run by himself and told the rider to go slow. He did what we want him to do and he moved well."

Jantar Mantar became an unbeaten G1 winner and all eyes are now on the Classics. Takano added: "This race was perfect as we prepare for the G1 Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas). He can experience a left-hand circuit and 1800m is perfect before running him in the 2000m race. I hope he does well but there's no pressure on him. I just want him to run calmly and come back safely."
