Ecoro Bloom with Takeshi Yokoyama on board won a thrilling edition of the G2 New Zealand Trophy at Nakayama Racecourse. Sent-off favourite, Bond Girl finished 3/4 length behind the winner and Yukino Royal came home in third a head behind Bond Girl. The winning time was 1:34.4.

Ecoro Bloom is a son of Daiwa Major out of Sugar Shock, by Candy Ride. This is his first graded stakes title after finishing second in the G3 Shinzan Kinen. The top three runners clinched a spot in the G1 NHK Mile Cup.
