Dubai Sheema Classic is an international G1 over 2410m on turf course at Maydan Racecourse in UAE. This race was in introduced as Dubai Turf Classic in 1998 in Nad Al Sheba Racecourse. It was rebranded to Dubai Sheema Classic in 2001 as international G2 and was upgraded to an international G1 in 2002. Entry spot in the Australian G1 Cawfield Cup is given to the winner of this race.

Stay Gold became the first Japanese runner to win the race and Heart's Cry, Gentilldonna, and Shahryar later became joined Stay Gold as Japanese winners. Buena Vista in 2010, Duramente in 2016, Cheval Grand in 2019, and Chrono Genesis in 2021 finished 2nd. One and Only in 2015, Last Impact in 2016, Suave Richard in 2019, Loves Only You in 2021, and Authority in 2022 finished 3rd. Equinox became the world's best horse in the world after his dominating win in 2023.
