Hopeful Stakes 2024 Notable runners

Croix du Nord

Croix du Nord
Croix du Nord

Croix du Nord won his last race, the G3 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes. He has won two races so far, both with the fastest uphill three furlongs of the members. His father is Kitasan Black and his pedigree seems to favour longer distances. He is one of the favourites for next year's Classic.

Magic Sands

Magic Sands
Magic Sands

Magic Sands has not raced since the G3 Sapporo Nisai Stakes. His two races so far since his debut have both been over 1800 meter, but he was able to get ahead and show his ability right to the end, and win. He has only raced on heavy track and there are doubts about his ability to run at speed on good condition track.
