G3 Mainichi Hai winner Meisho Tabaru conducted a final fast workout ahead of his run in the G1 Satsuki Sho. He clocked 52.6 seconds for the final four furlongs, which was quicker than planned.

Trainer Ishibashi commented, "Although I'm concerned about the fatigue from running fast times in two workouts within a two-week span, the horse responds well in training. It might all come down to the pace of the race," he added, indicating hopes to leverage the horse's enduring speed, just as in the previous race.
