Soul Rush, the favourite, claimed a commanding victory in Sunday's G2 Milers Cup, marking his third triumph in graded stakes races. This win also secured his second Milers Cup title in three years. With this victory, Soul Rush earned priority entry for the G1 Yasuda Kinen on June 2nd at Tokyo Racecourse. Serifos finished second as the second favourite, while Nihonpiro Kyiv came in third.

With Taisei Danno aboard as a last-minute replacement for Kohei Matsuyama, Soul Rush settled patiently in mid-pack. In the straight, they unleashed a powerful sprint from the outside, surging past their rivals. They held off the challenge from Serifos, who was closing from the inside. Given the recent spate of accidents, Danno expressed, "I was really happy to receive this opportunity to ride today, and I felt like I had to show results." Speaking solemnly, he continued, "Since receiving the request yesterday, I had time to review past races, so I watched several races. I had a certain image in mind, and I believed that if we could maintain a good rhythm, the results would come regardless of the track conditions."
