The GI winner, Ushba Tesoro worked half a mile alone on the woodchip course and recorded 54.5s for his four-furlong workout, covering the final three furlongs (600m) in 38.8s and the last furlong (200m) in 11.8s.

Trainer Takagi commented, "He did some light work today; overall, he is doing well in his training." The Dubai World Cup is his first foreign trip, on which the trainer added, "The question is whether he can adapt to the new environment. He hates the heat, so that is the main concern for me."
